Annual visits and estate inspections

Published - 5 February 2020

As part of our resident promise to provide a local and personalised service, our housing officers meet with you in your home at least once a year to discuss any issues or queries you may have.
This visit is an opportunity for you to discuss any tenancy or property issues you may have.

It is also a chance for your housing officer to check the information we have on our records, and ensure your home is in good condition. In addition, your housing officer can update you on changes to our services, for example, the self-service portal which allows you to book repair appointments and make payments.

Housing officer, Sheefa Khatun, said “I enjoy meeting residents and having an opportunity to better understand any support they may need. Visiting residents in their homes lets me see the property and make sure any repairs needed are booked in for works to be done. It’s also really nice to put a face to a name.”

If you have not had an annual visit and would like to arrange one, why not get in touch with your housing officer to book one in.

Housing officers also inspect the communal areas in you block or scheme on a monthly basis to make sure they are safe and cleaned to high standards. If you have any concerns or questions about your communal areas, you can get in touch with your housing officer to join them on their next estate inspection.
